Die Casting Aluminum Mounting Head

The Die Casting Aluminum Mounting Head, the part is small, but similar to the other mounting head parts, it has a deep cavity, which is easier to make the part sticky to the mold, then during production, if the material sticked on the mold is not cleaned, it will damage the castings newly produced, so in the engineering operation instruction edit by the engineer, the cavity is a key characteristic, while die casting, proper spray of mold releasing agent, specified cooling point at this deep cavity structure is necessary.  Thus, the mold design is significant, before the mold establishment, we always require the tooling company to provide the CAD data of the mold design, and run the mold flow analysis to simulate the die casting of the part, to look into if the design is reasonable or not. Meanwhile, we also will provide the design CAD to the customer to confirm with them if everything is okay, so as to avoid any interference problem with the practical application to the customer.

The Automotive Wiper Parts is machined from another part, the difference is to machining the cavity area into tapered smooth hole. so the density of the cavity is very important, or after machining, there will be porosity exposed on the machining surface, which is unacceptable. It is also relative to the filling of the melting aluminum in the mold, not only because the requirement of powder coating as surface finish.

The material of the part is ADC-12, a Japanese aluminum type. The material should conform to standard of JIS H 5302-2000, a very common material in high pressure die casting. This material has good property of fluidity, and good property of processability. 

ADC-12 is Al-Si-Cu serial alloy, the composition of ADC-12 is:(Cu)1.5~3.5, (Si)9.6~12.0, (Mg)≤0.3, (Zn)≤1.0, (Fe)≤1.3, (Mn)≤0.5, (Ni)≤0.5, (Sn)≤0.3, (Pb) ≤0.1, (Cd) ≤0.005, (Al) the remaining.
