Aluminum High Precision CNC Machining Pivot Housing A380

Single Shaft Pivot Housing, the part is also a kind of pivot housing on windscreen wiper system, which is applied to bigger buses, boat etc. The part is similar to the pivot housing 421-1034, this pivot side housing have a long threaded pillars, from the pillar, there to be one shaft assembled. The key point is to locate the injection gate the runner, the overflow, the cooling system in proper position. Usually, for experienced Die Casting manufacturer, we will run with solidification analysis to simulate the status of the filling of the melting aluminum, making the final decision on these points. Otherwise, probably the part will have risk of porosity, if so, while machining, there will be big porosity exposed from the thread surfaces, what's worse, while e-coating, during the curing process under 170-200 degree, the porosity will try to expand to get out, leading to pits and bubbles on the part surface, which is serious appearance defects unacceptable.

Prior to the finish of e-coating, this part can have tumbling treatment, this part has a big and stable bottom feature, so tumbling won't cause problem of deformation like 429-1040.  Tumbling is a surface finish which usually used for removing the small flashes, chamfering, even minor scratch mark, crash etc. making the parts consistent, the material of the medium for tumbling is small stone.
