This part is a housing for Transimssion system.The big issue for this part is the porosity problem.

Die Casting is often used to make lightweight parts using light metals to replace steel or iron parts. Since the inherent strength of light metals is lower than that of steel components, any reduction in the strength of components shall be avoided. The small hole in the cross section of the casting has a great influence on its tensile strength.
There are two types of pores, one is stomata. Porosity is the result of the high speed injection of metal melt into the mold. However, the decomposition of any organic compound in the mold or moisture in the mold will aggravate the porosity. Because all molds and punch lubricants may contain water, organic matter, or both, these substances may cause porosity problems.

The material of the part is ADC-12, a Japanese aluminum type. The material should conform to standard of JIS H 5302-2000, a very common material in high pressure die casting. The material is equivalent to Chinese aluminum alloy YL113, the corresponding standard is GB/T 15115-2009. And the material is also equal to A383, the criterion is ASTM B85-03 Standard Specification for Aluminum-Alloy Die Castings.
